On the whole, I don't have any real issues with Myki, although I am concerned about the absence of any announcement to date regarding single trip or other form of short term tickets after Metcard ceases to operate.
But I have been interested to see the proliferation of Myki readers at our local station. At one location, we now have 6 (although only 2 are actually working). This is in addition to 2 Metcard readers. Perhaps this is to avoid queues when the response time is slow, which sometimes occurs. Does it say something about the system that it's easier to instal more readers than to improve response times?
